Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use govern this website, its accounts, the protected archive, content, tools, and related features (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
In these terms, "Astrio," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Service under the Astrio name. "You" means the person who accesses or uses the Service. The Disclaimer is incorporated into these terms by reference.
Astrio provides creator content, commentary, Frostborn information, and planning tools for personal, informational use. This website does not sell Frostborn items, operate the game, manage game accounts, or provide Frostborn customer support.
You must be at least 13, or any higher minimum age required where you live, to create an account. If you are under the legal age of adulthood, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms and permit your use of the account and protected features. If you cannot legally agree to these terms, do not use an account or protected feature.
Accounts and profile information
An account is optional unless you want to use protected features. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in access secure. Do not share access, impersonate another person, or use a username or public ID that is unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or infringes another person's rights.
A username is a limited account label, not property or a permanent right. Astrio may refuse, remove, or change a profile value when reasonably necessary to prevent impersonation, confusion, abuse, or a rights violation. Contact Astrio promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Astrio assigns each new account a random username in the format Star followed by six lowercase letters or numbers. You may replace it with one custom username for free and then make up to three successful username changes. Each custom selection or later change starts a 5-minute cooldown. Invalid entries, unavailable names, blocked attempts, and unchanged submissions do not use a change or restart the cooldown.
Each successful language-preference change starts a 10-minute cooldown before another language can be saved.
In-game Public ID changes are unlimited. The first reservation is immediately available, and each later successful change starts a 10-minute cooldown before another change can be saved.
You may stop using the website at any time, sign out, or request deletion of account information through officialastrio@gmail.com. Deletion can end access to registered features, and limited records may remain when reasonably needed for security, acceptance history, disputes, or legal obligations as explained in the Privacy Notice.
Acceptance and protected archive access
Signed-in accounts must explicitly accept the current Terms of Use before opening New Update Changes, Information, or Calculators. Choosing Not now defers recorded acceptance and leaves public Astrio pages and Guides available subject to these terms, but the three protected sections stay unavailable until you accept.
Astrio records the accepted terms version and acceptance time. A material update may require you to review and accept a newer version. The current version is 2026-08-21.1.
Acceptable use
You may browse and use the website for lawful personal purposes. You may not:
- break the law or infringe another person's rights;
- attack, overload, disrupt, damage, or interfere with the website;
- bypass or attempt to defeat access limits, warnings, restrictions, or other protective measures;
- use scraping, bots, or other automation without written permission when it burdens the service or extracts protected content;
- introduce malicious code, seek unauthorized access, collect another user's information, or exploit a vulnerability;
- after receiving a warning, continue using browser developer or inspection tools while signed in;
- evade a restriction by changing accounts or devices; or
- misrepresent Astrio, this website, its content, or its relationship with Frostborn or any third party.
Suspension, restrictions, and termination
Misuse may lead to a warning, slower or blocked requests, temporary loss of a feature, or a permanent restriction on protected sections unless Astrio later removes the restriction after review. Repeated attempts to inspect, extract, bypass, or interfere with the protected archive, including repeated browser-inspection warnings, may restrict New Update Changes, Information, and Calculators while public pages remain available.
Astrio may act without advance notice when reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, its content, or legal rights. Exact defensive rules are not published. If you believe a restriction was applied in error, email officialastrio@gmail.com with your Astrio username, the approximate time, and a short explanation. Review does not guarantee restoration.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Astrio may suspend, restrict, disable, or terminate any account, session, feature, or access, with or without advance notice, for a violation or suspected violation of these terms; fraud, abuse, or attempted circumvention; a security or legal risk; unlawful activity; harm to the Service, Astrio, another user, or a third party; a valid legal request; or discontinuation of the Service. Where legally permitted, Astrio may also take these actions at its discretion for another lawful reason.
When an account or access is terminated, your right to use the affected account and features ends immediately. Sessions or access credentials may be invalidated, and associated information may be deleted, de-identified, or retained as described in the Privacy Notice and as reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, disputes, enforcement, or legal obligations. Astrio does not guarantee restoration of an account, access, or data after suspension or termination.
Intellectual property
Astrio's original commentary, writing, branding, graphics, and site presentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Frostborn names, marks, artwork, icons, game data, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Some materials may be provided or authorized for use on this website. Nothing here transfers ownership of third-party material to Astrio or ownership of Astrio's original work to you.
Unless a separate license says otherwise, you may use the website only for ordinary personal, noncommercial viewing. You may not republish, sell, mirror, or commercially exploit protected site content without permission. This does not restrict rights that applicable law gives you, including any applicable fair-use or fair-dealing rights.
Accuracy, calculators, and availability
Frostborn is a live game. Information can become incomplete, outdated, or differ by version, season, region, account, or live event. Calculators are estimates and planning aids, not promises of an in-game result. Check the current game client and official notices before spending resources or making an important decision.
Content and features may change or be unavailable because of maintenance, security, legal requirements, third-party changes, or circumstances outside Astrio's control.
External services
Links, embeds, sign-in services, YouTube, Discord, and other third-party services are provided for convenience or functionality. Astrio does not control their availability, security, content, data practices, or terms. A link or mention does not by itself mean endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation.
Donations
Donations are voluntary support for Astrio, not payment for access to the Service or for Frostborn goods, items, or benefits. A donation does not create an ownership interest, guarantee continued operation or any feature, or give the donor preferential access. PayPal processes the transaction under its own terms. Any refund, reversal, or payment dispute remains subject to applicable law and PayPal's terms. By making a donation, you represent that you are authorized to make the payment and use the selected payment method, including any legally required parent or guardian authorization. Astrio does not represent that a donation is tax-deductible. Contact officialastrio@gmail.com promptly with a donation question.
Privacy
The Privacy Notice explains what information Astrio handles, why it is used, when it may be shared, how long it may be kept, and the choices available to you. Accepting these terms is not consent to any optional data use that applicable law requires Astrio to request separately.
Warranty disclaimer
In the sections below, the "Astrio Parties" means Astrio and its owner or owners, affiliates, licensors, service providers, contractors, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "AS IS," "AS AVAILABLE," and "WITH ALL FAULTS." The Astrio Parties disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, security, and availability.
The Astrio Parties do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, free of harmful components, that defects will be corrected, or that any content, calculation, result, or third-party service will be accurate or reliable. You use and rely on the Service at your own risk. No advice or information creates a warranty unless these terms expressly say that it does. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Astrio Parties will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost opportunities, loss of goodwill, loss or corruption of data, service interruption, account or access loss, unauthorized access, replacement-service costs, or losses caused by use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Service, even if advised that such harm was possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Astrio Parties' liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these terms is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, remedies, or consumer rights that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.
Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Astrio Parties from and against any third-party claim, demand, investigation, action, or proceeding, and all resulting damages, liabilities, judgments, settlements, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to: your use or misuse of the Service; profile information, messages, or other material you submit; your violation of these terms or applicable law; or your violation of another person's rights.
Astrio may control the defense and settlement of an indemnified matter. You agree to provide reasonable cooperation and not to settle a matter in a way that admits liability by, or imposes an obligation on, an Astrio Party without Astrio's prior written consent. This section does not require indemnification to the extent applicable law prohibits it.
Informal dispute resolution
Before starting a court proceeding, the person raising a dispute must send the other side a written Notice of Dispute and allow 30 days after receipt for good-faith efforts to resolve it informally. Your notice must be emailed to officialastrio@gmail.com. Astrio may send its notice to the email address associated with your account. The notice must include the sender's name and contact information, any relevant Astrio username, a description of the facts and legal basis of the dispute, and the specific relief requested.
During that 30-day period, the parties will try in good faith to resolve the dispute. Any limitations period will be tolled during the informal process to the extent permitted by law. This requirement does not prevent a party from seeking urgent temporary relief or filing in time to avoid expiration of a claim where delay would cause legal prejudice.
Applicable law and court proceedings
These terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by applicable laws of the United States, including applicable state and federal law, without making a contractual choice of any particular state's law. Any court proceeding may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction over the dispute. Mandatory consumer protections and other rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain unaffected.
Changes to these terms
Astrio may update these terms to reflect changes to the Service, the law, or site protections. The effective date will be updated, and reasonable additional notice will be provided when required. A material change may require signed-in users to review and expressly accept a new version before using protected sections. If you do not agree to a new version, do not accept it and stop using the Service. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law permits otherwise.
General terms
If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will stay in effect. A delay or failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver, and a waiver on one occasion is not a waiver on another.
You may not assign or transfer these terms or an account without Astrio's prior written consent. To the extent permitted by law, Astrio may assign these terms in connection with a merger, reorganization, transfer of the Service, or sale of assets, or by operation of law, with notice when required. These terms and any additional terms expressly incorporated into them are the entire agreement between you and Astrio about the Service and supersede prior or contemporaneous communications about that subject.
Astrio is not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, labor disputes, government action, internet or utility failures, cyberattacks, or failures of hosting and other third-party providers. Provisions concerning ownership, restrictions, warranty disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, disputes, governing law, and any other provision that by its nature should survive will continue after suspension, termination, or the end of your use.
Electronic communications, contact, and legal notices
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to receive notices and other communications electronically through the Service or at the email address associated with your account, and you agree that electronic communications satisfy any requirement that a communication be in writing. Keep your account email current. You may save or print these terms for your records. Nothing here changes a consent or delivery method that applicable law does not permit the parties to change.
